Pastry was dry, but the curry filling was yummy with a touch of spicy. Fan Tuan (purple rice) was amazing, total hit with the husband and kiddos. My husband doesn't care for pickled veggies, but he stated it actually works really well in the roll with all the other ingredients. My kids call it Chinese kimbap and it was an amazing, easy, quick and clean lunch for the kiddos at the airport. Definitely coming back to try other items on their menu. Front lady was nice and made funny jokes and smart remarks. Lol

The service wasn't welcoming. The lady at the desk seemed unhappy. There was no utensils in my take-out. The oyster omelet was nothing like authentic Taiwanese style. It was an over-fried egg with a mysterious filling and a few stinky, disgusting oyster inside. The radish pastry was inedible. They also used dried radish instead of fresh, and didn't even cook that properly. For what's essentially a hole-in-the-wall, $30 is way too much for food this poor. Would not recommend.

💰💰CASH ONLY 💰💰 Why Huge Tree Pastry? - Quick to-go Taiwanese breakfast items - Craving Fan Tuan or Baked Sesame bread items - FRESH soy milk too! FOOD 4/5 - Sweet Soy Bean Milk hot or cold in a bowl w/spoon = Love it and the portion is huge - Taiwanese donut (You Tiao) = cant go wrong with this - Baked sesame bread w/egg = Flakey and delish - Fan Tuan w/egg - should have added pickles = DELISH Note: Added purple rice for the Fan Tuan, it's a heavy hearty meal SERVICE 4/5 Despite the claims of horrible service it was the opposite. The entire staff was friendly, prompt and attentive. The young lady at the front even offered to see how much food we had left to grab the appropriate to-go plates PARKING & AMBIENCE 4/5 Will be tight when peak hours exist. The staff was quick on clearing tables, wiping down the table and even seats.

Disappointed as a 10yrs customer. Have been eating for 10yrs and this place I used to rate it Top 1 rice ball in LA but not anymore. Ordered my usually purple rice added egg and pickle $7.95. However, I got a soggy Chinese donut inside. Only last few bite can see pork floss and pickle. With $7.95 this price, I would rather go to Yimei for way bigger and more options :(

Food: legit Taiwanese breakfast spot in the area. Salty Fan Tuan with purple rice & eggs is my go to order, along with fresh sweetened soy milk. My family also tried their green onion pancakes with eggs and thought it was good as well. Service: the young lady in front is friendly and a hard worker. We appreciate her hustle and attentive service. Atmosphere: a home vibe/small hole-in-the-wall restaurant which reminded me of many places you'd find in Taiwan.
